Our appointment line for all clinics is the same: (858) 230-2321. You may need to leave a voicemail message; your call will be returned within 24 hours or the next duty day. Please consider what you hope we will be able to do for you within a one-hour counseling session before you call. If you have multiple issues, we may need to schedule a follow-up session. If your issue is too time sensitive to wait for the next clinic, you may want to consult with another legal aid provider in the county, some of which have full-time attorneys. If you need to change or cancel an appointment, please call the appointment line as soon as you can. If you are running late for an appointment, please call and let us know when you expect to arrive. If you need an interpreter, please indicate that when you call. If you are able to bring your own interpreter, let us know that as well. Although we try to make a reminder call the day before, that is not always possible, so please mark the date and time on your calendar and schedule your own reminder as well.
NOTE: If your CLA attorney calls to provide additional information or to seek clarification of issues in advance, which means that you may have his/her cellphone number, please do not interpret that as his/her permission for you to call him or her directly with additional questions or issues—unless they have expressly provided that permission. Such additional questions or issues should be handled in a subsequent appointment through the appointment line.
